Storms rumbled across central Kentucky Wednesday evening, dumping heavy rains across the area.

The deluge caused some street flooding in downtown Richmond. The flash flooding brought traffic to a standstill for a short time, but quickly receded once the storm passed.

There were also reports of trees down and power outages in the Louisville area.
