A Lexington man forced out of his home by a fire is getting some help.

Cardale Dean's duplex in the Hill Rise Drive area burned 10 days ago. The fire was one of more than a dozen suspicious blazes in the area over the last few weeks. The fire destroyed everything inside Dean's home, leaving him with only the clothes on his back. Dean is now staying with a relative.

When Dean's boss at Arby's found out about the fire, he decided to help. Reza Timaji says Dean never even indicated he needed assistance until questioned.

"This is everybody's duty, and when you see this kind of situation you have to get up and help. If it was somebody else working somewhere else, I'd probably would have done the same thing," Timaji said.

Tamaji set up a fund to help his employee. If you want to help, you can donate at any Central Bank branch. Just reference the Cardale Dean Fire Fund.

Police continue to investigate the string of arsons in the Hill Rise Drive area. Investigators questioned at least one person last week, but so far, no arrests. If you have any information on the fires, call the city's arson tip line at 859-231-5762.
