Help Pours In For Cat Beaten With Golf Club

There is some good news for the owner of a kitten that was beaten with a golf club in Madison County.

The kitten's owner says that after LEX 18 aired the story about Lucky Wednesday, donors stepped up with money to help the kitten undergo surgery in Louisville.

However, the bad news is it's going to take more money than originally thought for the kitten's total recovery. Veterinarians say it's going to cost about $4,500.

Rocky Alexander found the kitten Monday night after someone repeatedly hit it with a golf club shattering the bones in its front legs.

The Madison County sheriff's department has assigned a detective to go after the suspected abuser.

For anyone who would like to help the kitten through a Paypal account, contact Alexander via his Facebook page, Or, Barnes Mill Road Veterinary Hospital will also accept donations for the care of the kitten.
