Firefighters battled a blaze in Garrard County early Friday morning.
The fire broke out around 2:30 a.m. at a home along Mount Hebron Road. Dispatchers say a passerby called in the blaze.
The homeowner has been in Florida for the last four months. Nobody was in the house at the time of the fire, and there were no reported injuries.
Officials say it appears the fire started in the rear of the garage. The blaze caused some heat and smoke damage. Firefighters contained that mostly to the garage area.
Firefighters say electricity was turned off at the home. They plan to call in arson investigators to try to determine what sparked the fire.
