State police are investigating a home invasion in Garrard County after the suspect was caught by the home owner, then shot.

Police on scene tell LEX 18 the resident arrived home just after four Monday afternoon to find someone in his house, robbing him. Investigators say the home owner shot the alleged robber, and the suspect took off running. The suspect was later caught and taken to Berea hospital with non life threatening injuries.
