A homeless person lost their possessions to a fire early Thanksgiving morning.

A witness reported seeing flames in an area off Liberty Road, near the Hope Center, around 1:45 a.m. Firefighters found a mattress and other possessions in some bushes burning. Crews quickly extinguished the flames.

The person was not in the area.
