Human remains were found Friday night inside a burned up vehicle in Knott County, according to Kentucky State Police.
The truck was near an abandoned mine site on Mullins Branch Road in the topmost community of Knott County.
KSP tells LEX18, the remains were burned beyond recognition, and at this time, they don't know the identity of the remains.
The vehicle and remains were transported to the State Medical Examiner's office for further examination.
