Officials have released the name of a man killed in a crash Thursday afternoon in Madison County crash that left his wife hospitalized.
The coroner says 67-year-old Farley "Jay" Rose of Jackson County was pronounced dead at a Berea Hospital. Rose's wife, Barbra, was flown to UK Hospital. She was listed in fair condition Friday afternoon.
Sheriff's deputies say a man from Estill County was driving a pick-up on Kentucky 21 and apparently reached for a pack of cigarettes and collided nearly head-on with the Roses' truck.
That driver, whose name and condition have not been released, was also taken to UK Hospital.
