They're cute, but they are illegal. Authorities say they've confiscated a couple of exotic monkeys found living in Marion County and the monkeys are scheduled to be transferred to a refuge in Florida.

The monkeys, two marmosets named Momo and Giz, were confiscated on May 10. For now, the primates are in the care of a Wildlife Center in Jessamine County, which also cares for 40 other primates.

Authorities say the two monkeys will be transferred later this week to the Jungle Friends refuge in Florida, where they say the climate is more suited for this particular species of monkeys.

The Primate Rescue Center in Jessamine County is a non-profit organization and is supported solely by donations.
