A Jessamine County paramedic says she was forced to wait an hour for help when the ambulance she was riding in crashed this past weekend.

The ambulance was going through a red light carrying a patient when it collided with a pickup truck at the intersection of U.S. 27 and Keene Road in Jessamine County. The patient inside the ambulance was taken away a different ambulance. But, emergency responders never returned to pick up their own injured paramedic, Amanda Moore.

"And its frustrating to know she was abandoned on scene by the supervisor who was there and then when more calls for help voiced," said Andrew Wood, Moore's fiancee. "That help was canceled and nobody was coming to help her."

Moore suffered a broken leg and a concussion.
