Investigators say they think they may have found the culprit responsible for several animal attacks in Shelby County.

Since December, goats, cows and even dogs have been attacked. Some had to be put down.

Last week, a woman stopped a pit bull from attacking her dog, according to the Shelby County newspaper. That dog is now at a shelter.

Investigators say they are looking into whether the dog is responsible for the recent attacks. Animal control officials say the dog's owner is cooperating in the investigation.
