Investigators Still Looking Into Fire Where Seven People Died

There are still a lot of unknowns about the fire in Knox County where 7 people were killed, where it started and how it started. What people in the small community do know is there were 7 people inside the home at the time of the fire.

The community is called Disney Holler or Disney Land for the people with the last name of Disney whose families live along Sam Parker Road.

Saturday, it couldn't have been further from the happiest place on earth, starting before 10:00 in the morning when neighbor Jacob Garrison called 911. "Flames came off the window, smoke, I just called them but it was too late by then," says Garrison.

Firefighters found 7 people dead inside the home. Family members tell LEX 18 the victims were Jesse Disney and his girlfriend, Nina Asher, Nina's 3 kids, 3-year-old Will, 2-year-old Camden and Abigail who was only 10-months-old. Investigators say the other two were neighbors' kids who were sleeping over.

"This whole road we live on,we know each other, it's just a tragedy what happened," says Garrison.

One of the more severe tragedies this Kentucky State Police post has dealt with.

The official cause of death for all 7 people has not been released, family members say it appears everyone died from smoke inhalation.

Investigators say it could be weeks before they learn the cause of the fire.
