Ironworks remains shut down between Paris Pike and Russell Cave Road due to an accident.

Police say the driver of a pickup truck lost control and hit a utility pole around 7:45 a.m. The pole snapped, dropping live wires onto the roadway.

One woman suffered minor injuries. EMS took her to the hospital for treatment.

Officials say the road could remain shut down for one to two hours as crews reset the pole.

Police say the driver may have hit a slick spot, but they have not determined the exact cause of the accident.
