Doron Lamb who will probably start when the Cats play in New York, has no trouble admitting that he didn't get it last year as a freshman. He didn't know how hard he needed to work. He promises that this year it will be different.

He's acting like Josh Harrellson did last year. That extra work on his own outside of practice, changed Josh's life.

Cal wants to see more of it before he's convinced Lamb will really be like Josh.

To practice. We are not suggesting that practice was easy last year. But Terrence Jones believes it's much tougher this year.

"Yeah," says UK's All-American.

Not even close?

"Nah."

Often times the middle name for any coach is unhappy. Coaches are rarely satisfied where their team is at. Especially since it's not even turkey time. But, Cal finally admits it. For today, for as much as this team has been together, he's pleased with where they are.

"I'm fine with where we are, it's who we're going to have to play. Everybody doesn't want to accept when I said it's going to be hard. We just talked today. What if we want to massage the ball? We haven't done it yet. What do we do late shot clock if it's winding down? How do we get a three?

As only he can, Cal's advise to Kyle Wiltjer has to do with how the University of Texas fans talk about their football team.

"I'm so excited. I just told him, anytime he catches it in the post, hook, hook 'em. Catch it in the post, left or right, hook. And run, running hook.

You get the feeling that Cal likes this team as much as any he's had when you consider the calender says it's only November.
