A 12-year-old Pulaski County girl critically injured in a crash on slick roads earlier this month is preparing to be moved to a rehabilitation center.
Jaden Jasper and her father, James "Jimmy" Jasper have been at UK Hospital since the crash on the evening of March 5 along Pumphouse Road near Somerset. They were both listed in critical condition at the time.
Family members tell LEX 18, Jaden Jasper is expected to be moved to Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Center on Wednesday.
Back in early March, Jaden's aunt, Karen Miller said the the 12-year-old and her father were heading home from Jaden's volleyball tryouts when the crash happened. Miller and other family members believe the SUV the father and daughter were in hydroplaned and slammed through a plank fence. A fence post struck Jaden's head and another hit Jimmy's shoulder.
Jaden Jasper is a 7th grader at Northern Middle School. On Facebook, friends, family members, and even complete strangers have come together to pray for Jaden in a page simply titled, "Prayers For Jaden."
