Former UK point guard John Wall made the freshman SEC academic honor roll this year. He was the only men's basketball player to make the list.

Four Kentucky football players also made the honor roll, Morgan Newton, Ryan Mossakowski, Jordan Aumiller and Patrick Ligon.

A total of 49 student athletes from Kentucky made the list.

Wall has said several times that he hopes to return to UK one day and finish his degree. He missed a chance to appear on the Jimmy Kimmel show right after the season ended because he said he had to take a test
