Since his arrest on alleged sex charges involving a teenage girl he met at church, former UK basketball player Michael Porter has been wearing an ankle bracelet to monitor his whereabouts. But, that's has now changed.
The former UK point guard had been on electronic monitoring, wearing an ankle bracelet, since his release from jail on sex charges involving a teenage girl he met at church. In court Friday, the judge removed the monitoring requirement since Porter has followed all the rules of his release from jail.
Porter is accused of having a sexual relationship with a teenage girl he met at Southland Christian Church while he was a group leader there. With the ankle bracelet removed, porter's attorney says he can now consider several job possibilities pending the outcome of his criminal case.
The judge still made it clear Porter must stay away from Lexington Christian Academy and anywhere else the alleged victim may be, including Southland Christian Church.
Porter is not allowed to leave the state of Kentucky. He is still married, and his wife and children have moved back to California.
