SMITHLAND, Ky. (AP) - Attorneys have finished presenting their cases to jurors in the capital sentencing of Kevin Wayne Dunlap and jurors are expected to start deliberations on Wednesday.
Trigg Circuit Judge C.A. Woodall scheduled closing arguments for Wednesday in the case of the 37-year-old Hopkinsville man, who pleaded guilty to killing three children and stabbing and wounding their mother.
The crime occurred in the Roaring Spring community of Trigg County, near Fort Campbell, in October 2008.
The commonwealth is seeking the death penalty for Dunlap.
The defense closed Tuesday after putting medical experts on the witness stand to talk about examinations of Dunlap's brain.
