UK center Enes Kanter has not yet been cleared to play for Kentucky this season, but the NCAA has granted him a waiver to continue practicing with the team while it and UK continue to review his case.
"Any student-athlete that is awaiting certification is reviewed periodically for practice eligibility. Enes Kanter is currently eligible to practice," said UK spokesman DeWayne Peevy.
The NCAA typically places a 45-day limit on how much a player with unresolved eligibility issues can practice with the team. Since UK began practicing for the Canadian trip at the beginning of August, Kanter's initial 45 days was up.
