Dalton Dingus, the Kentucky boy who set the world record for getting the most Christmas cards has passed away.

Dalton suffered from Cystic Fibrosis. He died Saturday evening.

The Magoffin County boy said he wanted to be in the Guiness Book of World Records for getting the most Christmas cards. He far surpassed that goal and received more than 700,000 cards.
