FRANKFORT (AP) - The Kentucky Democratic Executive Committee has transferred $350,000 over the past month to Ohio where President Barack Obama is in a tight race with Republican challenger Mitt Romney.

That's based on a report filed last week with the Federal Election Commission.

The report shows three separate transfers to the Ohio Democratic Party between Sept. 18 and Sept. 27. Two were for $100,000 and one was for $150,000. Ohio Democrats are expected to transfer a similar amount back to Kentucky to be used in state races.

Such transfers aren't uncommon between state parties.

Ohio is a presidential battleground state while Kentucky, where Romney is the favorite, is not in play.

In Kentucky's spring primary, 42 percent of Democrats marked their presidential ballots "uncommitted" even though Obama was the only Democratic candidate.
