The University of Louisville says it will put more than 2,000 tickets returned from UK's fan allotment on sale to its season ticket holders Wednesday.
The University of Kentucky returned 2,060 tickets from their allotment of 5,500 for the game, according to U of L officials.
A UofL athletics department spokesperson says UK returned "a nominal number" of tickets last time the game was in Louisville back in 2010. He says the Cardinals have never returned tickets to UK.
UK offcials say they held back a couple of hundred tickets, and they are on sale through the UK ticket office.
Louisville football season ticket holders will have an opportunity to pick up the tickets for $50 each with a maximum of four tickets purchased per account.
UofL officials say as of Tuesday, they've sold 41,800 season tickets, a record for the school.
