The SEC announced Kentucky's Bria Goss as the league's women's basketball Freshman of the Week Monday.

Goss, a 5-foot-10 guard from Indianapolic, averaged 11.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game last week. She scored in double-figures in all three of the Lady Cats' wins. Goss scored a career high 12 points against Southern Mississippi. She also grabbed a team high eight rebounds against the Lady Eagles. Goss tied her career high with three steals against Northeastern and dished out a team high tying four assists in her last two games.

Overall, Goss stands as UK's fifth-leading scorer and third-leading rebounder on the young season, averaging 10.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.

The Cats (4-0) return to action Wednesday, Nov. 23, against Nebraska Omaha at Memorial Coliseum. Game time is 4 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast live on the UK IMG Sports Network with Neil Price.
