The 2013 High School Football State Championship games were some of the best in recent memory. Aside from Mayfield's blow-out win to kick-off the games, every other game was competitive (Bowling Green v. Pulaski County was tied at 14 at the half).
Wayne County (14-1) suffered their only loss of the season on Friday night, 3-0 to Belfry in the 3A title game. The 2013 season will still go down as best in Wayne Co. History.
Collins won the school's first football title by beating 6-time defending champ, Highlands in the 4A game.
Scott County used an 11 play, 77 yard drive in the final minutes to beat Meade County. 21-14 in the 6A game. It's the Cardinals' second football title (first was in 1975, Class 2A).
