Police have identified the man shot to death in Knox County early Tuesday morning.

Police say Earl Carter, 75, suffered multiple gunshot wounds inside his home along J Goodin Branch Road in Barbourville. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police arrested Charlene Sue King, 49, and charged her with murder. Investigators say she served as the Carter's caregiver.
