Former UK player Mark Krebs' mother has lost her battle with breast cancer.

She was able to make it to his senior day, which Krebs always said was very important to him.

The team was a great source of strength for both Mark and his mother. After the season, several of Krebs' teammates held a fundraiser for her.

Demarcus Cousins asked true blue fans to pray for Krebs' family today via twitter.

John Calipari in a statement said, "One of the special parts of our first year in Kentucky was being able to coach Mark and get to know him and his family."

"I just wrote the foreword to Mark's upcoming book and my words were largely inspired by Terri's memorable participation in Senior Day."

"Rest in peace Terri and know that all the Big Blue Nation is here for your family."

Krebs was a walk-on from northern Kentucky.
