Laurel County police say a robbery at a gas station Sunday night may be connected to three other similar robberies in the area in the last 11 days.
The latest robbery happened at about 9:20 pm. at the Laurel Lake Shell, located about 10 miles south of London on Kentucky 770 near exit 29 of I-75. Police say a lone male suspect armed with a semi automatic pistol robbed the attendant at the Shell station at gunpoint and fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect is described as a white male, medium build, age not determined, wearing a red shirt, covered by a blue sweatshirt that had a white Nike emblem across the front, wearing a brown coat with hood over his head. In addition, he had a blue bandanna over his head, too.
It is not known at present whether this robbery is related to three other robberies in the area the past 11 days in the southern Laurel County area.
Crimestoppers said Monday that they are offering $1,000 reward for info leading to a conviction of the suspect.
