Sheriff John Root of the Laurel County Sheriff's Office reported Friday afternoon that all major roads in Laurel County, including I-75, U.S. 25, Ky 30, Hal Rogers Parkway, Ky 80, and Russell Dyche Memorial Highway are wet with some slick spots.
All other state and county roads remain slick and hazardous (ice covered). The Laurel County Sheriff's Office is advising motorists that drivers should exercise caution if they find it necessary to be out on county roads Friday evening. Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing again Friday night, so roads that are wet may become slick again later.
Deputies are out in full force and will be assisting motorists as needed.
