A woman identified as Teresa A. Clontz, 39, was arrested Wednesday evening and charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine Precursors, Wanton Endangerment, and four counts of Manufacturing Methamphetamine. Police say she was making meth inside her home while a child was inside.
Kentucky State Police reported to Clontz's residence on Seeley Road in London, to assist the Laurel County Department of Social Services with a referral complaint.
Upon arrival, police say they could smell a strong chemical odor emanating from the residence.
Police made contact with the woman, and say they found items that are known to be used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. They say further investigation uncovered four methamphetamine labs.
Clontz was placed in the Laurel County Detention Center.
A 7-year-old child that was located in the home was taken into protective custody and released to a family member. The child was taken to the Saint Joseph of London Hospital as a precaution.
