A Lawrenceburg man indicted on child porn charges Monday has been arrested.
An Anderson County grand jury indicted 55-year-old Mark C. Whitaker on three counts of possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor, a Class D felony.
Investigators report that a tip led to Whitaker's arrest on Wednesday.
Whitaker’s indictment is the result of a lengthy investigation by the Attorney General's Cybercrimes Unit. Since its creation in June 2008, Attorney General Jack Conway’s Cybercrimes Unit has removed almost 45,000 child pornographic images from the Internet and investigated more than 100 child pornography cases.
