Kentucky State Police have arrested a 17 year old in Leslie county and charged him with murder.
Police say they got a call around 10:00 Friday night after Charles Hendrix was laying dead in a yard in the Thousandsticks community.
When State Police got on the scene they found Hendrix was shot in the chest.
After speaking with his girlfriend, they arrested the teenager who is now in jail.
They are not releasing his name.
They say the investigation is ongoing.
