A federal judge sentenced a Leslie County man to 133 months in prison followed by a lifetime of supervised release for receiving thousands of child pornography images.

Michael Caldwell, 42, admitted receiving 4,950 images, many including child rape, prepubescent children engaged in sexually explicit conduct, and children involved in sadistic and masochistic conduct with adults.

According to court documents, the investigation began after hackers posted images of child pornography on a website hosted in the Netherlands. Caldwell downloaded an image from the site involving a blindfolded child being sexually exploited.

Caldwell must serve at least 85 percent of his sentence. He will also have to register as a sex offender when released.

Caldwell is not a man by the same name who is a youth pastor at the Big Fork Church Of God in Leslie County.
