State police have arrested a Letcher County man in connection with a stabbing.

Robert Hamilton, 28, is accused of stabbing his girlfriend, Tina Wells, several times at her home in Pine Creek.

Wells went to the Whitesburg Hospital, but has since been transferred to UK Hospital.

Hamilton is facing several charges, including assault and domestic violence.
