Lexington Blue Grass Airport scrambled emergency crews as a private jet prepared to make an emergency landing Thursday morning, but the plane was diverted to Indianapolis at the last minute so it could burn off more fuel.
Officials say the pilot of the Learjet contacted air traffic control around 7:30 a.m., reporting trouble retracting the front landing gear.
Officials say the plane landed safely in Indianapolis.
