Police in Warren County have arrested a suspect in a Lexington Bank robbery.

Jail officials confirm police arrested Christopher Schenk, 45, in connection with the robbery of the US Bank on Richmond Road back on Jan. 28. Police say Schenk followed a teller into the bank after a lunch break and robbed the bank at gunpoint. Investigators identified Schenk from surveillance video and issued a warrant for his arrest last week. Officers arrested him Monday afternoon in Bowling Green.

Police say that Schenk also faces charges in connection with a holdup at a Fifth Third Bank in Owensboro on Dec. 22.

In 1996, Schennk held up an Elizabethtown bank, getting away with $1,000. He told police at the time that was enough money to cover the $700 he lost the day before on a gambling boat in Indiana.
