A cigarette may be to blame for a fire at Burger King.

It happened on Saron Drive in Lexington off of Tates Creek Road.

Officials say the fire started in the mulch outside the building.

There was damage to the outside of the restaurant. To stay on the safe side, the restaurant was evacuated while fire crews investigated.

No one was hurt.

The Burger King is closed at this time.
