Lexington Catholic High School will honor former star and current WNBA player Natalie Novosel during half time of Friday night's game against Scott High School.
Novosel graduate from Catholic in 2008 and went on to play college ball at Notre Dame. She averaged better than 15 points per contest as a junior, leading the Irish the NCAA Championship game before jumping to the WNBA. In her rookie season as a pro with the Washington Mystics, Novosel score 3.2 points per game.
Lexington Catholic will retire he number during the halftime ceremony.
The game tips off at 6 p.m.
Following the girls' game, the boys' squad will take on Wayne County.
The school will recognize senior basketball players, managers, cheerleaders and dance team members Friday night as well.
