Lexington Considers Change To Fireworks Laws

After many complaints, Lexington officials will consider changes in the city's fireworks laws on Tuesday.

The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Council will hear an ordinance that would ban certain types of fireworks. A spokesperson for Mayor Jim Gray's office said the new ordinance would basically change regulations back to how they were before many types of "exploding" fireworks were legalized a few years ago.
