Lexington police charged five people in a drug trafficking case on Tuesday.

Police charged Laurie A. Floyd, 27; Amy L. Rhodes, 33; and Eric T. Prince, 33 of Lexington; along with Kevin D. Petty, 36; and Victoria A Simon-Howell, 24, of Detroit with drug trafficking. Court documents indicate all five suspects were found with large amounts of opiates and narcotics.

Police say Rhodes' young child was discovered with her, near her stash of drugs. She faces an additional charge of endangering the welfare of a minor.
