Lexington police continue the search for a man who robbed a Lexington gas station early Monday morning.
Police say the clerk at the Shell station on New Circle Road at Russell Cave Road told them a man armed with a handgun walked in around 2 a.m. and demanded cash. The suspect got an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register and ran toward Hollow Creek.
Investigators say a K9 tracked a scent to the Hollow Creek Apartments, but could not locate a suspect.
Police say the robber covered his face with a cammo bandana, so the clerk did not get a good look at him. The suspect was wearing black shorts, a black shirt and a black hat.
