Lexington Girl Says Man Abducted Her From Her Home

Police continue to investigate after a 12-year-old girl told them a strange man led her from her home to a Lexington park early Wednesday morning.

Police say the girl rang the doorbell of a home along Benton Place sometime around 2 a.m. The woman who lives there says the girl was so upset, she could barely speak at first. The girl eventually told the woman that a man led her out of her bedroom and threatened to hurt her if she screamed. According to the victim, the man took her to Marlboro Park where she somehow fought him off and ran to the neighboring home.

Medics checked the girl out and found only some scrapes to her knee.

Police say they checked the girl's home and didn't find any signs of forced entry.

Officials continue to investigate.
