Quick response by Lexington firefighters limited damage caused by a fire in a laundromat early Wednesday morning.

Officials say a dryer caught fire at the Suds 'N Duds Laundromat on Richmond Road around 1 a.m. The blaze filled the laundromat and Faith Covenant Church next door with smoke. Crews extinguished the blaze and ventilated the buildings.

Damage was reportedly minor.

There were no reported injuries.
