The man charged with killing a Lexington taxi driver has been found guilty in the case.
Early Friday morning, jurors reached their decision against 30-year-old John Cherry, Jr. They say he shot Amine Lemghaili in the head after the taxi stopped on Hedgewood Court in 2011.
Court records show Cherry told police he only remembered portions of the night. He claims he remembered getting out of the cab without paying.
The jury recommended life in prison for Cherry. His formal sentencing is set for March 8.
