Abundant Living Medical Clinic in Lexington says they are temporarily closed due to unforseen circumstances.
CEO/founder Michael Betts tells LEX18 he has been accused by a member of the clinic's board of embezzling money over the past three years.
Betts tells LEX18 he is not guilty of "embezzlement or impropriety," and plans to file motions on Monday to "stop this madness."
Betts adds that ALMC has seen record sales growth over the past 10 months.
Many ALMC patients and clients received a memo this past week making them aware of a possible investigation and criminal charges, and telling them they may need to take Michael Betts to court.
