Lexington Parks & Recreation will be opening four aquatic centers at Castlewood, Tates Creek, Southland and Woodland at noon on Saturday.
All remaining pools will open at noon on Saturday, June 5.
The four facilities opening Saturday include bath houses, concession areas, great water play areas for children 10 and under, outdoor play area, slides, diving boards, grassy beach areas for sunning and zero-depth entry/exit. Daily admission to a Family Aquatic Center is $4 for youth 15 & under and $5 for adults 16 & over. Operating hours for these facilities are Monday through Saturday 11 am - 8 pm (Southland Aquatic Center open 10 am - 8 pm) and Sunday 1 - 8 pm.
The Olympic-sized pools, Berry Hill (25m), Constitution (25m), Douglass (25m) and Shillito (50m), include such amenities as bath houses, baby pools and vending machines. Daily admission to our Olympic pools is $3 for youth 15 & under and $4 for adults 16 & over. Operating hours for these facilities are Monday through Saturday 12 - 6 pm (except for Shillito 11 am - 8 pm) and Sunday 1 -6 pm (Shillito 1 - 8 pm).
Our Neighborhood Pool is located at Picadome. Picadome is 3' to 10' and there is a restroom located at this facility. The cost to swim at Picadome is $3 for youth (15 & under) and $4 for adults (16 & over). This pool is open from 12 - 6 pm, Monday through Saturday and 1 - 6 pm on Sunday.
