Police arrested a robbery suspect after he returned to the scene of the crime.
Police say Timothy Shelby, 28, used a gun to rob a woman along Cambridge Drive on Thursday. He got away with two credit cards, a wallet and a laptop. Investigators say Shelby used one of those credit cards at a BP station on Versailles Road and another gas station a short time later. As an officer was investigating, Shelby returned to one of the stores. Officers spotted him, searched him and found the stolen cards. Police say at that point, Shelby tried to run off, but police caught him and made the arrest.
Police charged Shelby with robbery, receiving stolen property and escape.
