Lexington Police Investigate Pair Of Robberies

Lexington police were busy overnight, investigating a pair of unrelated robberies.

Late Thursday night, a man robbed two people he had been staying with earlier. Police say the man returned to the home on Beltline Avenue around 11 p.m. Thursday and broke through a glass door. Investigators say the suspect pulled a knife and demanded cash. He got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

The victims were not hurt.

Police say the suspect left the area in a gold car, but didn't release any information about the man's description.

Earlier Thursday night, a man robbed a woman at a home on Oak Street, just off Georgetown Road. Police say the victim recognized the man and let him inside around 9 p.m. He pulled a knife. The woman handed over some money, and he left without hurting her.

Police say the suspect was a black man standing around 5'8" with a thin build. He was wearing a grey hoodie.
