Lexington police are investigating two overnight stabbings.
Police say a man stabbed another man in the shoulder near the corner of Bryan Avenue and Loudon Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. Investigators say the victim knows the suspect, but refused to tell police who stabbed him or what kind of weapon the assailant used in the attack.
EMS treated the victim at the scene.
The second incident happened along nearby York Street a few hours later. Police say the victim told them a man he didn't know walked up to him. The two men started arguing, and the suspect stabbed the victim in the stomach. EMS took the man to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Officers have not made arrests in either case.
Police say they don't believe the two stabbings are related.
