Lexington Police Investigate Two Thanksgiving Armed Robberies

Police are investigating two armed robberies over the Thanksgiving holiday in Lexington.

The latest happened late Thursday night at Woodland Park on East High Street. Police say three suspects, armed with brass knuckles, a gun and a knife forced two men to hand over their cell phones and wallets. No one was hurt.

Officers found one wallet near the baseball field and say they're tracking one phone using GPS. So far, no arrests have been made.

Earlier Thursday, Lexington Police searched for a man who got away with cash and a bottle of wine from the Liquor Barn on Richmond Road. Police say at about 4.p.m. a man came up to the counter to pay for his wine, but pulled a knife and demanded cash from the drawer.

The cashier was not hurt. The suspect was last seen driving away in a silver car.

If you have any information on either of these cases, give Lexington Police a call.
