Lexington police said Friday that since 9 a.m. they have worked on 26 non-injury and five injury collisions on Fayette County roads.
Police say they have received reports of black ice on the roadways, especially causing issues in the areas of overpasses and the I-75/I-64 north split.
One lane of east I-64 was closed Friday morning at mile marker 71 as crews cleaned up oil from a collision. That lane was expected to re-open by about 12:30 p.m.
